Hi All :D

I have a question regarding my new first stage.

Just before Christmas i purchased an entire set of mares gear, when i first was using it (first 5/8 dives) all seemed fine.
For some reason, now, the first stage is making a hissing sound every time i require air from it????

The noise is defiantly coming from the first stage, and i have checked for leaking under water but no bubbles??

The first stage is an MR 22 T

I just find it strange that it would start doing this after 8 or so dives??? Is this a warrantee issue???

I am new to the diving seen and am a little reluctant to take them down to 30m

Any advice would be appreciated

Regards

Dave

A low level hissing sound is normal. You are hearing the air expanding as it goes through the high pressure valve assembly. If you are concerned, take it to a Mares dealer and let them check it over for proper function.
