What is the meaning of the number in the bottom left under the ascent indicator?

Max ascent rate?

That's what I thought, but not sure and that seems super high!

I found the manual online and says Assent Speed though 82 feet per minute I assume is to fast... My last dive 60 FSW it shows 43.

It sure does, but the manual agrees.

Thanks. Never slaw it go above "slow" or got an alarm. I will keep an eye on it.

Other dives are much lower, I suppose it is the max. When I looked at the manual it showed "ascent rate" - as DTx said above it is prob the max as the comp sure max or min depending on what is being displayed (temp, asc rate...)

Do you have Fast Ascent turned on? I think default is on. I turned mine off.

I have it turned on. Yes it is the default setting and I haven't changed it.

If you want it to beep at you when you are going to fast then probably should turn it off. I looked at one of my other dives and it was 82 and probably was the point where my daughter and I dropped into a trench at about 65 feet then quickly went up a ~8 foot wall. A max ascent rate does not seem like a big deal as without context not sure I see it as a big deal. We went up pretty quick for ~3 seconds. 83 feet a minute for a minute not a good thing.

I think that happened to me going up the bridge of a wreck I dove recently.
Turning it off turns on the alarm? I though turning it on turns it on.
