Hope this gets to the correct spot. I saw comments on the Mares Nemo Excel, but, I am considering a Mares Nemo sport wrist computer and wondered if anyone had any feed back. I don't have an LDS so will be purchasing online sight unseen, 'cept for pics.
All comments are welcome including advice/comments on your favorite wrist computers. My Sunnto Mosquito went kooku and then flooded after about 4/5 years, I liked it other than that. I want a small one that give lots of info. I don't like to do the math, rather look around while diving then rest/party/rest and dive after. That's how I roll....:crafty:

Hi,

I have one and have done approx 20 dives with it so far. I am very happy with it and would buy it again. Its small (I dont like bulky watches), light and does everything you could want ; air & nitrox, safe stops, water temp, and all the expected functions you could possibly need. Its also very good looking for a dive watch.

The manual is somewhat complicated, but in any case its good to go right out of the box. My only gripe is the ascent beep. Its way too sensitive and found it to beep often. So I disabled the beeping ; problem solved (the visual indicator is still there of course)

Its definitely a good purchase.

Hope this helps.

M.

The Nemo Sport is OK because it's NOT made by Mares, but by Seiko-Epson in Japan. The quality is much higher.

When I was looking to buy a watch style computer in August, I had looked at the Mares Nemo Sport. I went to my local dive shop and they told me that the Nemo Sport had been discontinued. I called Mares and they told me that while the Nemo Sport has not been discontinued, it is no longer available for sale in the US. Many dealers in the US still have stock and the Nemo Sport is in their line and in our 2010 catalog, but they do not plan on bringing any more supply into the US. They also told me that the this model will be discontinued late 2010.

It is a nice little computer and would be fully backed by their 2 year warranty whether is remains in line or not.

Hope this helps.

Ken

Thanks for all the input. I ended up with the Oceanic Atom 2, can't dive it until mid-Jan. Looking forward to it. I love the size and it looks like what I want, here's hoping.
