Hello All;

I am thinking to buy a Mares Isotherm semi dry for the South Florida waters. I dive in summer with a 3 mm wet suit and I feet very comfortable. What do you think, will I be to hot ?

I think you might get a bit overheated – I've used an Isotherm in the Med in winter, and that get a lot colder than South Florida does, and I was still too warm and had to flood the suit a few times to cool down.

That said, you can always cool yourself down, whereas you can't warm yourself up (peeing doesn't count), so it all depends on your personal tolerance for the cold.

I would also say that you would be way too hot. I have used mine in 70 degree water and simply roasted. I was headed to the thermocline.

I have a dry suit in florida, I use it for springs and the winter dives, as far as summer dives, I go in a 3 mm or a rashguard

If you get too warm, you can let water in... I dive dry in the winter too.
