I am thinking about getting a new bc and I'm kinda stuck between the Icon and Balance. I'm looking for people that have used one or both.

The Balance is about $50 cheaper then the Icon, I would like to know what you all think, like, have used, and any problems with them?

Love the balance too. light weight as well.

I have the Icon and whilst it's a good BC, I do find the lack of a cummerbund (not sure if the Balance has one) to be a bit of a drawback. I thought it wouldn't be a problem but whilst diving generally feel I could do with extra 'snugness' that the simple strap can't provide. Perhaps this is just my body shape.

For our divers that have used the Icon, they found it comfortable and have actually enjoyed not having a cummerbund. I think that you will find that the Icon offers a little more back padding and more D-Rings if you prefer them.

I like mine, for my bottom heavy steel tanks (trim pockets) and elegant slate mounting. If I had not cut the integrated weight pockets off I probably would have sold it. The older Balance had crappy IW pockets so my modification was a significant improvement. The newer IW pockets are a better design, but I would still cut 'em off. :)
