All I keep hearing and reading about the HUB is negative, I would suggest to stay away from it!

A friend of mine has/had one and he loved it. He said it was the most comfortable, lazy-boy of all BC's to dive with.

It is disliked my many on this board, because of it's more complicated construction, multiple hose routings and full out integration. For the average recreational diver (10-20 dives a year) it is more then adequate and appropriate and will server them right.

If you are interested and want to get a nice, slightly used, Avant-garde version, drop me a line as he is wanting to sell it.

Most of what's been posted about it here has been negative. Seems like it would be difficult to take on a plane. Here's a link to a long thread about it:

If you want to search for more info, use Mares + Hub in the searchbox, HUB returns nothing as it's too short.

have played with quite a few.

P U R E C R A P

Spend the same amount of money and get some QUALITY kit.

Kind of a red flag right there.

Has anybody purchased this BCD, or doven w/ it?

This is a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. They're big bulky and if any single part breaks the whole system is down.

The hose routing is uncomfortable and I dove with some divers that wore them and they just looked uncomforable to dive with. One of the divers saw my backplate and wing and said he wished he had bought something like I was wearing instead of his HUB.

Buy your wife a good regulator and octo. Get her a BCD designed for a woman like a Seaquest Eva that my wife loves or something similiar.
