Mares Beta (blue) regulator help please.

I inherited an regulator set up that includes a MR12 regulator connected to a Mares Beta (blue) regulator. Can anyone tell me anything about this regulator set up? I know the MR12 is a basic standard first stage regulator from Mares. However, I have never seen or heard of a Mares Beta regulator. The regulator/mouthpiece has nothing else on it but Mares Beta.

I sill have a couple around somewhere,even use one as a bailout when diving solo.
It works but don't expect "high"performance from it.
On the plus side it's very easy to maintain.
Bought them around 1994.so they're almost vintage regs.
