Hi,
Does anyone know how to safely remove the rubber hose protector piece that tabs into the plastic cover over the Mares Abyss 42 second stage? I'm swapping out the stock rubber hose for a Miflex and I can't figure out how to get that off without potentially breaking it. I feel like an idiot for being hampered by such an easy thing, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Thanks in advance for any help.

The manual says "... slide it out..."
Try pulling a bit harder; in case of resistance, soak in warm water, pull, twist, rotate SLIGHTLY and CAREFULLY..

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. That just seemed a little crude, like I was supposed to be pushing on that little tab in there or something, or maybe taking the front cover off. But simpler is better. Times like these it would be nice to have a manual. Know of any pdfs of it floating around?

That's true, with regulators it's usually only one person's life at stake when you screw up :blinking: And that's not the manual for my model, but it's all good. Thanks for your help.
