Ok, I see your point if there is nothing near by. and they are cheap. I do use cristo lube for servicing all regs. Although it is not required on second stages. Oxygen is only a prolem in higher concentrations and in higher pressures (first stages). I don't bother with silicone because I usually service and entire reg and would risk contaminating the first stage.
