Does anyone have any first hand info diving off Marco Island Fl.
Any recommendations of what or where to go with who?
Water temps.? Vis.?
I know there is other diving options probably better than marco, just staying there and like the convience of close proximity.
Vacation happening 3/8-18th.... can't wait

Thanks in advance
Phil

If you're an experienced diver, I'd recommend the Baja California, the Radio Tower and the Blue Hole. All are excellent sites. If you're newer to diving, I'd suggest the Fort Lauderdale area or Key Largo.

Walter:
You did, which is why I suggested three sites off Marco Island.

Hey there F1SHN, Easy now~
Not to confuse Baja California,Baja Mexico,Baja peninsula which is all West Coast.

Walter is like the old Merrill Lynch commercial.
"When Walter talks everyone listens." < Well at least i do!

*The Baja California that Walter was suggesting for diving, is the name of a sunken ship:
The wreck of the Baja California is about 55 miles southwest of Marco Island, in the Gulf of Mexico.

And yes....Walter is correct again > the dive is for more experienced divers.

Moved from Introductions & Greets forum.

Walter is dead on with recommendations.. there are some other sites such as the DC3 and another blue hole... the blue holes are ancient springs that are still flowing fresh water into the Gulf of Mexico. A little farther north are a slew of other artificial reefs, some of which are quite interesting to dive on.
