Here is the ITAsoftware.com page for March, 2015 Calgary to Bon.....The lowest at present is early in the month at 1300+. ITA is a great way to monitor fares.

One year out, most places are 'crazy high'....You need to start looking 'bout 6- months out....

Do you have any data applicable to this route to support your suggestion? As I said before, and as shown below, I haven't seen evidence that United or Delta are playing the "airfare sale" game on Bonaire flights.

RT airfare prices for YYC-BON are currently the same (~$900CAD or ~$820USD) 1 month out, 3 months out, 6 months out, and 9 months out... basically every weekend through Feb 21st. Holiday periods are the exception. ITA Matrix shows fares dropping back to the $900 range in April, although tickets won't be available to purchase for another week or so.

Below is an example of lower fares in April 2015. The gray shaded dates on the calendar are beyond the 330 day advance-purchase window, but the fares have been published.

It's probably also worth noting that the more expensive United coach fares in March are B class fares, vs. the $900 W class fares available before and after. This could be due to consumer demand (i.e. people already purchased the W class inventory for the holiday weeks) or due to airline revenue strategy of withholding lower fare class inventory during periods of higher demand. It's difficult to tell from the consumer perspective. However it's possible that the airlines may release W or other lower class inventory for the holiday flights at a later time. It's also possible that airfare for the other travel periods will increase as people purchase the available lower fare class inventory. This is another reason that purchasing reasonable fares as early as possible brings peace of mind.
