It was a gear-tasticly frustrating weekend for diving - and I have finally dropped off almost all of the rental equipment and stuff that needs to be checked out at various LDS in the bay area. So, finally I've had a chance to write a report. I need to add my dive stats, but here's the prelim and some photos .....

It was a great day of diving even though we had gear problems and the conditions were not optimal - but in comparison to the weekend before, they were better and I was happy about that. The dives gave us the opportunity to remember Doc's "Regulator in your mouth!" comments, let Mark rediscover that he can dive "warm" in a drysuit (yes, we think he's going to have to get one very very soon), and made me realize that I really need to reevaluate my configuation of my exposure suit and full hood in order to prevent having cold wate flush in and out of my wetsuit (brrr!).

The full report can be found here: Sarah Goes Scuba Diving

Thank you to Michelle and Greg (srCalDiver) for joining Mark and I on our dives and I hope that we can do it again in the future! Maybe this time we can get in the water at the same time and make it to the Metridium Field. :D

Thanks for the invite but I am going to be in Florida... I leave Saturday and will be playing in the Atlantic for the week!

I am hoping to get out on the boat with you all come April.... :)

I had a great time with you guys this Sat. Even though water conditions weren't great and I got us lost trying to find the Metridiums (sorry Greg!), I really enjoyed the beautiful weather and good company. :D

I wish I could go out on the boat this weekend! I've been in Monterey the last 3 weekends...my house is looking pretty rough and my kids are looking at me like they don't know who I am, so I think I need to stay closer to home this weekend. :(

Teach the kids to dive, or at least to carry tanks to Glenns for fills. :D

Nice pictures Sarah. You can't even tell the water was mostly brown, After last weekend I'm starting to think about lake tahoe. the sea life isn't near as good but at least you can see the sunlight break through to 70 feet.

Thanks Ron. That's the beauty of macro photography - you are close enough to the subject thatthe water color becomes less apparent! :D

Let me know if/when you go up. We'd still really love to give Tahoe diving a try! :crafty:
