March 01-2008 dive in Va. Beach

Lynnhaven dive center is trying to get a dive together for March 01, it is an exploratory type of dive. Capt Mark Sommers has some #s he wants to try. Max depth is probably 90 fsw.
If interested call the shop, but you need to tell them that this is Mark Sommers dive as I don't think they have it on their books. Lynnhaven Dive Center - scuba diving lessons classes equipm
1 set of #s is suppose to be an airplane, maybe a C-130.
If nothing shows up we will dive something.

It is suppose to be an airplane on 1 set of numbers, but who knows.
I'm just dying to get some diving in. Don't really care if its a pile of rocks.

Got a kitchen pass...using an old ticket...and called Lynnhaven today. I'm on the trip and waiting to hear when they want to push from the dock.

Man, I would love to go on this one, but two things will keep me from it. Water temps and I have to leave this weekend.

I hope you guys find an airplane down there. I would love to dive it when the temps get a bit warmer.

I'd be very interested to hear what you guys found on this trip. Any chance of a trip report when you get back?

Would of loved to give a report, but the trip got canceled with a small craft advisory warning going up. We were also told this would not be the trip I thought it was to be. We got scheduled to the Brass Spike, which is long from my favorite local wreck site.
I was told the exploration dive was pushed to March 22 due to the scheduled dive to the Gulf Hustler would put the boat very close to the #s they want to look over.

Hey Dane; did they call you or how did you find out ? I called Friday late afternoon & meant to call you, but my mind got pushed into another direction. But I never gave them my name when I talked with them & they never called me to cancel. Unless they have caller ID & crossed me off that way.

I called them Friday night...they forgot to give me any "love." I asked and they said they did get hold of you (or was it the other way around)? I stopped at Lynnhaven on Saturday...moping around like a diver without a boat. Scott didn't know what the captain had in mind for another trip so it looks like you've got the latest info.
