We were there last March on the Aggressor. We didn't see any mantas on dives, just from the boat in the early morning. We went to Yap on the way to Palau, so had our fill of mantas in Yap.

Wow..Manta at Ulong?? If that became common Ulong would replace the Blue Corner as the #1 dive in Palau. Guaranteed!

Can you imagine trying to keep up with a manta going thru the channel?? Boy, would I like to try that...full tank gone in 15 minutes!

Ulong Channel IS the #1 dive in Palau (in my book)! :)

Is that you Mr. P?

To the OP...German Channel is your best bet, but Yap is the full house!

We just got back from diving for 2 weeks in Palau and we saw ZERO mantas! We tried on several occasions to see them in German channel but ended up just swimming all over the place! We did get to see an ornate eagle ray at the end of one of the German channel dives and that made it all worth it! Go to Yap or do the night dive on Kona. It was super cool to have them fly right over your heads almost touching you! Have fun!
