We are home after a wonderful week of diving with members of the Greater Omaha SCUBA Club in Bonaire. What a fantastic trip! Sightings included free swimming eels (green, spotted, and sharptail), frogfish, seahorses, green turtles, and more. The highlights for me were a 10 ft. manta ray and dolphins riding the bow of our dive boat.

Rofino and Endro, our divemasters at Divi Dive Bonaire, were great, as was Serge the manager. The weather was nearly perfect. Scuba diving with great friends in a fabulous location, what more can you ask for? :D Here's a link to some of my video footage of the manta ray. Notice all the bubbles and my breathing, my heart was pounding while I was filming.

Incredible! I'm green with envy.

We will be there in 2 weeks. What was the water temperatures for you? I know they don't vary alot but I am trying to decide if I should take my new 5 mm.

Water temps were averaging 79 while we were there but I was wishing I had brought my 5 mil by the end of the week. I borrowed a friend's 5 mil hoodie and that was a life saver. Multiple dives per day X 6 days of diving = cold Connie in a 3 mil and skin. ;)

Good advise. I will definitely take it. Thanks.

Fantastic!!! Congrats.

Oh man! I just spent a week in Bonaire and didn't see a single stingray. A manta? I am so jealous

When I was there, water temps ranged form 76-79. I dove with a 5 m.l. Occasionally got chilly, but nothing too bad.

thnx for sharing
