Has anyone dove/snorkled in early May at crystal river and encountered a lot of Manatees? Because we cant get up there until the first week of May and would like to see some manatees, but if there wont be many up there we will wait until next year to go "chill" with them. :snorkel:

Also guided tour or rent a pontoon. We're leaning towards a pontoon because we dont have to worry about time/people..etc.

Thanks,

Supposedly there are some that stay year round at the sanctuary on Kings Bay. You have a better chance around the cooler times of the year though. You can rent a boat, its affordable for a small group, the tours are pretty cheap if its just one or two of you.

My family went out with Birds Underwater and had a blast, you have to watch the water temps, the cooler it is the better your chances of them still being there
