Did a dive into Friedman's on Saturday. Hot but not a lot of bugs except for dem tickers (UFFDA).
Went upstream thru the Column room (AWESOME , just AWESOME!). Went up the big hill and hit the 30-35 foot level. Turned before agreed pressure cause ol' Jean had seen enough new line for the dive. (I still get very prudent on line I haven't been up/down before).
The viz was awesome upstream from Friedman's. The flow was DOWN a little bit so we actually had to swim in some spots (heading downstream)
Picked up O2 where we left it tied up at Friendman's.
Long sail out but did a lot of gawking ( lol ). Again , the flow wasn't all that bad on the pushout. Vis was still GREAT coming back out towards Sue's. Could see light on the floor from about 50-75 feet away , so that tells you what the viz was like. And we didn't get to ride the roller coster right by Sue's because of the lower flow.
Exited into Catfish , checked gas again, and headed down the syphon. We did some line cleaning on the way out too since some green globbie thingies were attaching themselves to the gold line.
Got to the headspring and we were able to EASILY hold onto the rocks doing a 40 foot stop in the tunnel. (I could actually turn around and look at my buddy who was doing some peeking at the rocks without even worrying about getting my mask popped loose).
All in all , a WONDERFUL, WONDEFUL dive!
I see what they mean when they say you Can't miss the Column Room (I hope I called it the right name). Tis Huge !!!
Jean
Note: The green globbie things on the gold line were clumps of green stringie weeds that seem to gather on where the line is tied off to something , and it loves to collect on the arrows too. I try to clean the line if I can , if it's possible. (end of notification)
