Maldives Islands - which is the best?

Hi

I need some advice about the Maldives. Looking into dive resorts and as there are so many I was wondering could anyone suggest which are the best islands for diving in the Maldives - or rate the top 5.

Some seem like a pain in the neck to get to. Is the diving on the outlying islands really that much better than those places not too far from Male?

Is there any island which is so outstanding that it is worth an internal flight?

Suvadiva — Huvadhoo / Gaafu Atoll

Just before crossing the equator, south of the One and half degree channel, and 200 nautical miles from Malé international airport, you come across the most remote, isolated and the largest natural atoll in the Maldives and possibly in the world.

there were no resorts or much development to speak of.
i feel that this area could be considered prestine diving.
