Malapascua Break-ins

Hi,

I'm new to this so I hope I have posted in the right place?

I've been reading a post today, on another forum, about a spate of thefts from resort rooms on Malapascua island, Philippines. Acording to the post there are no police on the island and not much interest shown in involving mainland police.

Has any one else had experience of this? I'm thinking of going there later on this year, but definitely having second thoughts now.
