One-piece suits have nylon on inside and out and a choice of 1.5 mm and 3.5 mm thicknesses. We have matching hoods and gloves for this pattern on clearance as well. Our hoods are fully reversible and have black nylon on the interior.
The MAKO two-piece suits have a smooth skin (rubber) interior which greatly reduces water flow making the suit warmer. The elimination of the internal nylon layer improves flexibility which enhances comfort.
Please note that the 2-piece suits require a water based lubricant such as baby shampoo or conditioner, but we recommend Suit Slip which is specially designed for this application. Many people find that our 2-piece, 3.5 mm suit is warmer than a typical 5mm scuba suit because there are no zippers to leak, the attached hood eliminates cold water going down the neck and the farmer john pants and jacket provide 7 mm of thickness over the torso. Also, if you have never used a suit like this, you will be amazed at how EASY these suits are to don, once the interior has received a quick spray of lubricating solution.
