I'm looking for info about this Mako that I'm very interested in purchasing. Can anyone tell me how old this may be based on this pic? Are there any issues I should look for when previewing it? I'm expecting the seller to get it at least powered up and running so I can hear it before purchasing.

It currently has 700ish hours on it and was a pull from a fire dept.

Thanks in advance guys!

It is a 5406 block, 4 stage max 5000 psi. The series 9400 E3 is the predecessor to the BAM series. The E3 indicates that it is a 3 phase motor, probably a 7.5 HP. Just understand that Makos leak oil. It is probably from the '90s, especially if the frame is light blue. The 5406 block has been discontinued.

I don't know what the pricing is like in the States but in Canada parts for MAKOs run about 3 times as much then for parts for Bauers. I was quoted $50 once for a 1/4 Steel NPT/JIC fitting. a $4 dollar piece at any Hyd. supply store. and $1300 for a final stage piston and sleeve. You may want to keep this in mind if it is in need of rebuilding.
Maybe Craig can shed some light on parts pricing in the good old USA.
