We’ve introduced several new products over the last few months. We’ve not announced each one individually, so I would like to showcase several in a single post.

We have been steadily working to improve and expand our product line over the last year. Two major improvements have been the introduction of the Predator 2G (Second Generation) Speargun and an entirely new gear bag.

The Predator 2G gun handle and trigger mechanism cartridge has been upgraded to be made of glass filled nylon. This makes the handle practically indestructible, and we have not had to increase the price.

The new MAKO Freedive Gear Bag has been completely re-designed for increased durability and functionality.

In addition to using new and improved zippers, and thicker straps, this bag is built specifically for serious freedivers.

It has an extra large main compartment (almost 5 cf) and two side “fin pockets” (41 inches long) capable of holding two pairs of long fins (one pair per pocket).

We at MAKO Spearguns pride ourselves on producing some of the highest quality freedive fins available. For example, our MAKO Competition Freediver fins are a professional grade freedive fin featuring removable blades for easy change outs to fiberglass or carbon blades.

Having said that, we recognize that not all divers need or want a professional style fin, featuring removable blades….Especially kids and women with small feet

So, here they are…the MAKO Los Ninos Freedive Fins, in stock now… And, the “coming soon” MAKO Freedive Hunter Fins.

Although both of these fins have fixed blades (permanently attached to the foot pockets), they are very good quality freedive fins.

The MAKO Los Ninos Freedive Fins are perfect for youths. And, they are also good for women with smaller feet.

The “MAKO Freedive Hunter Fins” although priced incredibly low, are actually extremely good quality long blades for the beginner to intermediate freediver. So, don’t let this low introductory price fool you.
We expect them to be in stock in about 4 weeks.

The foot pockets of both fins are made of the same thermoplastic rubber used in high end foot pockets. These foot pockets are soft for comfort where needed, but stiffer where needed for increased transfer of energy.

The blades are made of a highly flexible yet strong Polypropylene composite material, designed to maximize thrust and stability. These are no cheap, off the shelf, fins found at sporting goods stores. These are probably the best freedive fins for the beginner to intermediate freedivers you can find.

We’ve also added a MAKO Flasher Ball. This “disco ball” flasher emits flashes of reflected light in a 360 degree pattern and works amazing well at bringing in the big ones. This thing can turn a slow day into a rock concert in minutes.

We have also added a MAKO Easy Winder Flasher Float. This small float allows easy deployment and retrieval of your flashers and the bungi allows you to precisely set the depth of your flasher array.

Our 3-D Snorkel is designed to wrap around your head. We’ve already received a considerable amount of positive feedback on this snorkel from our customers. Inexpensive and rugged.

Another product, a minor one, is the new MAKO ”Brian Ferguson” Knife Sharpener. This inexpensive device is simple to use and will keep your knives sharp. This thing works incredibly well.

We have several other new products coming soon, including the ladies freediver fins, and a Blue Camo 2-piece suit in Yamamoto Rubber.

We will have all these products (and more) at the Blue Wild Show in Ft. Lauderdale , February 23 & 24. Please stop by if you can make it. It is an incredible show:

In closing, I want to say, “thank you” to all of our customers. We have grown quite a bit since we started almost 4 years ago. I very much appreciate your trust and your support. I am so blessed to have met and dived with many of you and I just want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation.

Dive Safe,
Dano
