It was found in another location and brought here by a guy named "Boogie" a long time ago. He used to live in one of the old homes right there along the shore near the anchor. (The brown home between the mega mansions). He and his family used the anchor as a mooring weight for their small boat for many years. It is a really big anchor and at different times of the year it gets buried under the sand. The sea turtles like to hang out near it sometimes and used to use the chain that was attached to a large float as an "Automatic Shell Scratcher". It was pretty cool to see.

Boogie no longer lives there and the float has been gone for a couple of years. The turtles don't go to it nearly as much as they used to. I dove the site last Saturday and it looked just like in this photo. It's pretty shallow...only about 12 - 15 feet deep here.
