I'll update it on my site later, but I had a couple of great dives yesterday at Madrona Pt. Vis in the shallows was less than 10 feet, but deeper down it was great. From the top of the wall, I could see the bottom almost like there was no water in between. I'd say viz was well over 50 feet. Most of the wall was covered in zoanthids. I saw an octopus and a few wolfeels, but I like this place for the yelloweye rockfish. I saw at least 5 adults and tons of juveniles. I also saw the biggest boot sponge I've ever seen at the bottom of the wall (95 feet deep). Current wasn't strong enough to be a problem although it made it almost impossibe to set up the tripod in the sand at the base of the wall. I'm almost changing my mind about this place not being worth the drive from Victoria. If the vis was always like this, I'd be back all the time. Of course it's not as colourful as Ten Mile Point, but still way better than Willis or Henderson Pt.
