I'd like to invest in a macro lens, but the $300 give or take for the Olympus add-on lens is just kind of a liiiiiiiittle bit out of my price range.
Is there a way to make your own macro lens or does anyone have suggestions for a cheaper alternative? Also, what diameter is the thread on the lens port for the PT-010?
Circuit City has add-on lenses for the C-4040 (yes, I realize the macro lens goes on the outside of the PT-010 housing, just curious about the thread diameter) for just under $100, would these be a better alternative?
