I'm a Fish!
Thinking about a liveaboard in the Red Sea in Sep/Oct and have heard a lot about the BIG stuff (sharks etc) but can anyone tell me how the macro life is?

Particularly interested in Nudibranchs. Are the Brothers or Rocky Island/Zabargad better or similar for these critters?

Is much of the diving in current or are there some lazy dives?

Would appreciate any info.

Hi CJ

I wouldn't go to the Red Sea for critter diving, it is more of a WA-place (one of the most beatiful). Of course you can find variuos nudibranches and smaller things ( I know a place in Sudan where you always can find huge spanish dancers at night), but if it is your main interest, the Indo Pacific region will give you more e.g. Indonesia. Places like the Brothers and Rocky Island normally have current, sometimes very strong. It is possible to find shelter and do relaxed dives there, but then there really isn't any point in going to these places. If you don't like swimming in current, don't go to the Brothers.
