Hi!

I wanted to share some macro life photos I took this week while diving in Cozumel. I love searching for tiny critters and have found great info on ScubaBoard for Cozumel, though I wish there were even more details out there—so I’m hoping this post is both helpful and fun for fellow macro enthusiasts.

I stayed at the InterContinental Presidente and did 6 dives over 2 days with ScubaDu. The dive site right in front of the hotel—El Paraíso (Paradise Reef)—was fantastic for macro photography.

Some of my favorite finds included:
Nudibranchs: Thuridilla picta (Painted Elysia), Elysia crispata (Lettuce Sea Slug), Gastropteron rubrum, and Chelidonura varians.
Other highlights: A pipefish, a pike blenny, several types of spinyhead blennies, and a yellowhead jawfish.

Pics below!
