It appears the M300 has an underwater setting that I believe is in part to make up for the loss of Red as the first color lost at depth and all above water video on the underwater setting comes out red.

My question relates to using a blue water filter (red). If I want to use a filter do I keep it on underwater mode or land mode. Concerned that the underwater red will over compensate?

Thanks

Craig

My buddy has an M200. He shot some video with it and we didn't see a lot of correction. In fact everything was kind of washed out looking - slightly colorless. In bright blue Caribbean water.

So he turned it off and bought a red filter. I believe from Optical Ocean Sales - they recommended one, I don't remember why.

Thanks Steve that is kind of what I was thinking although I was a little worried that there might be other settings that go along with the underwater mode that I might miss by keeping it on a regular surface mode.
