How about getting in some cheap diving. During their Super dive weekend all their dives are half priced. Or at least that has been how they did them the past 2 years.
Im thinking of the Friday night dive to the Tiger (60 fsw) A 5,992 ton tanker sunk after being torpedoed by the U-754 on April 1, 1942. Except for the point of the bow, there is very little that remains recognizable as a ship. However, the Tiger typically has good conditions and is a popular inshore site, particularly for new divers and students.
Then Sunday to the Ricks (80 fsw) An intact fishing trawler sitting upright. The wreck is covered with all kinds of marine life. This is a good wreck for u/w photography.
Saturday they have a trip to the Morgan, but since I went there April 01 & it seems as we are destined to be there this Saturday May 12, then I believe I will have had my fill of that site.
These wrecks aren't that deep so it should be a chance for all to get off-shore.
They also have a Sunday afternoon dive to the Tug which I have dove a few times & it is a decent not that deep dive. I just prefer to have my diving over earlier on a Sunday so I can get the gear cleaned up & get some rest before work on Monday.
All info on wrecks are from Lynnhavens website.
I guess I should have put dates in this thread. Friday May 18th for the night dive, Saturday , May 19 & Sunday, May 20 for the Ricks.
