just picked up a like new Luxfer scuba tank markings are: CTC/DOT-3AL3000-S80 SECOND LINE:p351513LUXFER2A88
IS THIS A GOOD TANK

It is Canadian and United States approved.
It is an aluminum tank with a pressure rating of 3000 psi
It was manufactured by Luxfer in 02 of 1988
The serial number is P351513
It is 80 cubic feet

Define good?? Does it pass hydro and VIP? It is currently out of date unless there is another hydro stamp somewhere.

some shops will not fill the older aluminum tanks regardless of their tests.

Good as in alloy

Tank hasn't been used since89

Doesn't matter. Some shops won't fill a tank more than 15 yrs old or so. Some hydro places won't even test them in my area. But they make dandy wind chimes or mini hibachi's! Very cool cookie jars and mail boxes are other uses I've seen.

can it still be used or is it scrap

it was bought in 89 used one or twice looks like new
