It seems that Luxfer has stopped production of this model? Does anyone know were I can get one maybe two for a reasonable price?

While I haven't compared them myself, supposidly the worthington (formery hymark) have similar buoyancy characteristics to the Luxfers. I know Dive Right In Scuba and Dive Gear Express cary these

My 40 is a catalina and when full it does tend to ride a little down but that could also be due to the reg. I know that empty (300-500psi) it rides nice and up out of the way when clipped off by the valve end to a hip d ring. I have a luxfer 30 and don't see much difference between the two. My other 30 is the new short catalina and I really like it. It also rides head down and the short length makes it a great student bottle for shorter people and smaller women.

I was going to add another 40 to my stable but just decided to set up an al80 instead.

Add Helium is showing them on their website for $139 brushed aluminum. HyMark had terrible quality issues before Worthington bought them, I have a crapload I'd be very happy to sell and replace with Luxfers. I use them for oxygen service (including pure O2) and they are literally coming apart. They still VIP ok, but I don't expect to get the full 5 years out of them. Buoyancy is truly an issue with Catalinas. It's not just some tech divers feeding you bunk. The tops are very floaty, where the Luxfers trim out much better, both with Thermo convertible DIN valves. The Luxfers stay top down throughout the entire range of pressure.

thanks for the information on the Hymark/Worthingtons although I am interested at what you mean by coming apart?

I just sent you a pm about a used Luxfer 40 I am looking to sell.
It is set up as a stage bottle.

The shiny surface on the inside has come off. It looks like the inside surface is oxidizing away. None of my Luxfers or my Catalina have done that. They aren't dusty inside, but they don't maintain their shiny (passive) layer, either.
