What difference are you thinking the "S" denotes? Currently, and I think historically, Luxfer just labelled all of their scuba cylinders with the S followed by the cf volume. How do I tell the difference between a Luxfer 80 vs Luxfer S80? I posted a picture of my tank.

I haven't read that file, but EVERY cylinder becomes more positively (or less negatively) buoyant as you breathe It down. The buoyancy CHANGE is 100% dependent on the change in the air volume. Compressed air has the same weight for a given volume regardless of what container you place it in. If someone tells you a certain cylinder changes less than another, then it either contains less air, or they are mistaken. Now yes, there are variations in the buoyancy itself of cylinders with the same capacity, but that difference is true both at the start AND at the end of the dive.I ask because the luxfer s80 vs the luxfer 80 have different buoyancy characteristics according to the charts. Huron Scuba, for instance shoe the s80 becoming more positively buoyant towards the end of a dive.
