Does anyone own or know anything about Luhrs boats? I'm looking at a used convertible in the 36 to 40' range. I'm specifically interested in seaworthiness, liveability, cruiseability, and diveability.

This guys website and reviews are well worth reading

Some of the older luhrs are cheap enough but I have some reservations on them and think you could do better. I gotta agree with Pascoe on luhrs in general

Quimby,

Thanks for the link. A lot of good information there. I'd really like an older Hatteras with diesels, but I'm having a hard time finding one that is updated.

Might be interesting to take a look at...........
Have to go some to justify the price but could be sweet
I might go take a look. It looks like it needs an electronics package. Radar, GPS/chartplotter, depth sounder if not installed. $119 for a boat in that LOA pre-80 would be a tough pill to swallow, but it is a Hatteras. Narrow beam, but a performer I'm sure.
