Yesterday, got to try out our new JW Fishers SAR-1 UW metal detector on a look-see of the Rockland (Maine) Town Docks now that the summer traffic is over. It was extreme low visibility (less than 5ft) so a good test for it. Not too heavy, it was also not too long and unwieldy to drag through the water. The glowing dial showed up great and the detector’s vibration helped tremendously in locating some iron rungs on buried moorings. I can see why LE like to use it. We also found an iron ship spike with it as well.
