I think the increase in hose failures is a combination of more holiday divers that don't service their equipment often enough and service technicians that do not push hose replacements often enough. Part of it is also the availability of substandard and old hoses that are ordered over the internet. Hoses will deteriorate over time if they are not stored properly, even if they are brand new.

I know how some people think there is an increase in hose failures
because where by, before you could walk out the door and close it

now the net has a hook through the ears, with a wire to your brain

so the same as the guys that think they know and check their gear
and have failures

so the same as the guys that think they know and check their gear
and have no failures

as no one, rings you up and says, "Hey I have the money I owe you"
don't the guys come on here "I have such wonderful unburst hoses"
