The only thing that drives me crazy is that the show goes so fast, it is like they could have slowed things down some and the point that they are now they could have been at this point 3 years from now, and if you have to go to the bathroom it takes awhile to pick back up.

s-shaker, this is definitely a Tivo show....for a couple of reasons. Like you said, you can miss a bunch of stuff really easily. Also, they always break for commercials right at the good part, so I love being able to f-fwd through those to get back to the story in a hurry. I NEVER watch Lost in 'real time'....at the very least, I'll wait 15 minutes before watching....

As for them being 'good or bad' - I think they'll be spending a lot of time on that this season. I think I read that the writers were going to be doing several shows that give you more of their perspective....and that we might be less sure about who the good/bad guys are.

As for that guy playing golf, that is Paolo. He's a Brazilian actor - one that they have brought in to add to the cast. Frankly, the past two scenes with Paolo have been really unnecessary and out of place. He was on for a second last week with Hurley. I think they are just trying to liven things up on the island, but I'm not really feeling it with these 'new' losties.

In the meantime, do you notice that Desmond seems to be able to predict the future. The first time was with Locke, I think....and then this time with Claire and the storm. The question is....was he that way all along or did the explosion do something...

About Michael and Walt.....I'm not sure the magnetic force is still holding, because they destroyed the hatch. There is no more computer to push buttons....so I don't know what it would do to navigation. Anyone?

I thought at one point that He used some sort of "power" to make that happen?

As far as your Tivo goes, I think that is an excellent idea....

I think the spinal tumor X-ray does a great job of explaining why they wanted Jack, and it's now pretty clear that they want "Sawyer" because of his skills as a con-man (to con who? for what reason?). What I'm wondering is "Why Kate?"

As for the others being good/bad, I don't think it's as cut and dry as that. I think the others, like the survivors, are both good and bad. Sun shot a woman to death, Ecco crushed two people's skulls, Sahid has tortured numerous characters, and both Sawyer and Kate have killed (or at least been responsible for killing) in the past. These are the good guys? Aside from kidnapping, sinking a raft, and playing mind games, what have the others done that's so bad? For all we know, they might be acting to ensure the health and safety of the folks they've taken... there's little indication they've actually put anyone in danger (compared to the relative safety of living on an island full of polar bears, tree-tossing smoke monsters, unstable dynamite, and crazy people.)

My guess about Desmond is that he could see the storm coming. I don't imagine he conjured lightning.

I don't know what the original purpose for Kate might be, but it appears that she is serving them very well as sort of a motivation....maybe for Jack, but definitely for Sawyer. Like I said, there are probably many other reasons, but that is working well for the Others.

Question -- what exactly happened to Kate that first episode when she was taken for breakfast with Ben and then came back all dissheveled to the cage. I don't want to think much about it....I'm sure they'll do a flashback to it eventually.

As for Desmond, he predicted what Locke would say at some point in the recent past - can't remember exactly when. And Mrs. Klugh foresaw something, I think. Man, my memory stinks these days... Think about their interest in Walt being able to predict things and the whole paranormal experimenting with Dharma, etc...

So I wonder where Mrs. Klugh has been...

Also, I want a lot more backstory on Ben. It seemed like there was some 'tension' with the female Others. I'm curious what the history has been. And can you imagine growing up on the island -- never really knowing anywhere else.

I can't wait for Wednesday night!!
