Thanks James! Looks all good, curious what this means though, in relation to camera housing flooding....

LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS

We will not provide coverage for:

Wear and tear, deterioration, or inherent vice.

Not sure what inherent vice means. I only ask because I know Camera Housing floods are a really sticky wicket with insurance companies. I saw a guy flood his DSLR housing in Indonesia, he had flooding insurance but they determined it was "Operator error" (pinched gasket) and didn't pay out. **threadjack off :D

Inherent vice is the tendency in physical objects to deteriorate because of the fundamental instability of the components of which they are made, as opposed to deterioration caused by external forces - eg tire wear or something (as per wiki and a rep I asked at USAA). I would talk to them in any case to ensure your expectations of coverage are met before you sign up.

Curious, I'm a USAA member. Does the VPP cover everything, including flooding? Same question to Don for the state farm policy. Thanks guys.
Yeah, I think so, but talk to them.

You definitely need to check the wording and coverage of your insurance policies.

After my first video camera flood, I discovered that I had purchased "Stupidity" insurance. My policy covered every concealable mishap. The real cause was a housing port flaw, but the agent confirmed that "dropping it overboard" was also covered.

that sux!!! hope it gets returned! maybe the selfish inconsiderate prick will soon come to his senses.. that is if he has any
