Would love advice to help me have my first trip to Los Roques be a smooth one, especially advice on cheapest everything, especially as to how to get there.
Is there anyway to get there by boat>
Would love a buddy.

realistically, you may not want to go there. Yes, I have heard Los Roques is beautiful, but it is very, very unsafe to go there. I know I am way late with this post, but I know I personally wouldn't go there.

Surely it's not as dangerous as Mexico?

or "Lost Angeles?"

You may want to check my two posts at a thread named Venezuela started on this same forum on November 14th.

Old thread reborn! Has anyone been to Los Roques lately? We were there about 14 years ago and have wonderful memories of that little fishing village. We stayed in a posada and stopped on the way back at a tiny store after our dives to pick up a few cold beers. Long rides to most of the dive sites, however.
