Los Angeles Scuba Shops

Hi, This question is for any persons in the LA area. I will be in Los Angeles this weekend and will have a limited amount of time to check out some of the area dive shops. Any recomendations would be appreciated. Looking for discount prices and large selection. Thanks

you can use the padi website to find padi diveshops in the area by using zip codes and maximum distances.
thats how i found the diveshop i did my openwater with.
if you know the zip code of where your going that should provide you with the closest one.
if you don't have a zip code let me know and i can help point you in the right direction.

Scubabob, I'm in San Diego... In the LA area there's a chain store that's not bad, Sport Chalet. And then there's tons of little mom and pop type outlets. It really depends on what type of gear you're looking for. Best bet is to probably check out the yellow pages. Or let us know what part of LA and I'll give ya a hand!

I second the question, "Where in LA?" One thing about Sports Chalet; it is a general sporting goods chain, and some locations have more knowledgeable scuba staff than others...but if you know what you want, that might not matter.

Yep, they carry a bunch at Pacific Wilderness. Check them out as well as Sport Chalet in Long Beach. Here's an address:

I recommend Sport Chalet as well. The Long Beach store is a good one to try, but I the Huntington Beach store is not too far from Long Beach either.
