The missus is going next week. Since I am not (girls trip) she couldnt get the free ticket. I got her a United RT Dulles to CZM for like 298. Has a lousy layover She now has decided she wished she had taken SW to CUN as it would be way faster getting to and from..

We never get deals that good out of Lubbock with so little competition. If I can get to Coz for less than $400, I'm happy - then half the time flight problems force me to go thru Cancun anyway. At least United gave me a $150 voucher for that.

I'm still watching advance purchases for a family of 5 to Yellowstone next summer. I saw $400 each for fall travel, but the flights we want are running around $800! I expect the airlines to make a profit, but not entirely off of me.
