Well, decided to lurk no longer. Just getting back into diving after a lot of years and looking to dive with some of you Lanier divers! Plan on joining disscussions and getting buddies to dive with in the Southeast, i.e. Florida, Georgia...... Looks like a great helpful bunch of folks on here. Cliff @ West Bank Lanier was my instructor getting PADI certified for OW/AOW/Nitrox this year. Certified originaly by YMCA through a Buckhead dive shop in 1975. My dad started in the early sixties and I still have his old Voit steel 72's complete with J valves that passed hydro this year!!

I look forward to talking and diving with you guys and If you dive with Cliff, you have to be a great bunch of fellows!!

Well, "Hoss"...
Let me welcome you to the board. We look forward to diving Lanier with you. We "Looney Birds" & Scubaboard members get together to dive anytime our schedule permits.

Keep an eye on the forum to find out when some of us are planning on diving Lanier or anywhere else. We usually post all of our upcomming dives here.

Welcome to the board,

Jeremy

Heya Hoss. I try to dive Lanier on a Weekly basis. I think my buddy (KylePReid) and I are going to be trying to go out late on Wednesday evening after work. You should come on out if you can. Looking forward to diving with you down the road,

Matt

Thanks for the info. I have really enjoyed lurking lately and although I have been diving in lanier, it has been a long time. Late eighties to be exact. I grew up up there and know a few spots you might not have been around to dive, I know the lake pretty good. I also have a freind who has a nice large boat (yacht) up there too and plan to make him my captain sometimes. Else he can clean his own boat bottom!!!

I will definately be going up, and hope I can stretch buying another wetsuit until fall, I only have a 3 mil now. I am also retired at the time and can dive most any time and have found over the years that wednesday and thursdays are the best days for visiblity if the weather stays good.

Take care and See You around the puddles!!

The Hozer......
