It looks like we are going to have most of July off to play and I was thinking about renting a Condo somewhere in the Caribbean. I need somewhere that has a good balance of topside and diving. I've been to St. Thomas, St. Lucia, Puerto Rico and Curacao. I was thinking about Barbados. Are there any opinions on where to (or not) to stay for that length of time. This will be a family vacation with an 8 and 10 yr old.

On my trips to Barbados I stay at the Sea Foam Haciandas (www.seafoamhaciendas.com). It has two bedroom w/AC apts with full kitchens. Every room has a view of the beach since it sits right on a beach.

There is tons to do above the water and the diving isnt bad either. There is a great shore dive called Carlisle Bay. A number of wrecks located there and it is just down the street a bit from SFH.

Feel free to PM or ask questions. I am already saving for my next trip back.

Thanks for the information. i had my AC joint separation fixed a day after posting this, so I have been in lala land until today.

I would probably pick something in southern Belize. Good diving and better topside activities (esp. if you are into history).
