Your post made me realize I hadn’t booked a hotel in Sorong before/between a couple of liveaboard trips I am doing in February . The Aston (the best hotel in Sorong and convenient to the airport ) is already sold out for much of February 2026
Did you try Swiss BelHotel? I stayed there a few months ago, and it was great.

Last question if I may,

So we will be diving with Tarzan on Gam 5-6 days, and then Arborek, question is would they go to Fam islands for dives, if not how many days should we stay there, is 3 days diving enough and then head over to Pam islands and dive there?
Thank you all for the help!
I dived with Tarzan a few months ago and they are absolutely fine. Just make sure you confirm with them a few days before your arrival about your diving plans.
I had a solid booking yet they 'forgot' to put us on the list of diving for the days I booked. As they were full, I almost did not make it.
As far as diving is concerned, whilst the operator is fine, diving in Dampier Strait left me quite disappointed.
I would recommend you go to Misool, this is where the great diving in Raja Ampat is.

I stayed in a homestay a few meters away from Tarzan dive center. Very basic, but we enjoyed it.
