Looking for recomendations for diving in Australia

I'm planing to dive at the Great Barrier Reef in mid november. I'm planing a dive trip of 5-7 days. Does anyone have any good diving experiences from diving around Cairs and north of Cairns?
Where to dive, understand that Lizard Island has one of the best diving in the area?
Any other suggestions?
Any suggestions of organizer for live abord?
