not women's specific but the jacket style seaquest/aqualung pro-qd with intergrated pockets is comfortable & well functioning. I've also used the bare curve & blackwing back inflate, which I like, but it needs more lead to be neutral, I've tried the scubapro ladyhawk back inflate which i don't like because no pockets (the rollup pocket doesn't count!)and i hate the scubapro inflate/deflate buttons.

If I had to buy a weight intergrated bcd I'd prolly go with the aqualung/seaquest pro-qd or something in that line.

That said I primarily dive with an oms bp/wing 35 lbs lift for single tank. I just have access to alot of gear to try. I've lent out my own gear for those who want to try before they buy (the deal is the buy me a new whatever if they break/loose it) Maybe you could find a shop/instructors who will let her try before she buys too.

I always laugh whenever the manufacturers talk about "women's cut".

What exactly does that mean? Cut for which woman? Last I checked, women don't all have the same builts and cuts.

Isn't it obvious? :blinking: Boob room. I've found the shoulder straps to flare out a bit more, and the chest strap to placed a bit higher, maybe a bit shorter in the waist.

You may have lots of boobage, but there are plenty of women who don't have as much.

You may have curvaceous hips (I don't know, do you?) but other women may have narrow hips.

Some women have wasp waists and some don't.

Some women have narrow and short torsos, and some don't.

That's why I laugh at the gimmick that the manufacturers claim about "cut for women's body". There are at least five different feminine shapes out there.

well ok. Having recently gone from a 32F breastfeeding boob to my more normal 32B, which means I'm narrow in the torso, was big in the boobs, now small in the boobs, the extra room in the general boob area is nice regardless of boob size. Now depending on the size of your particular boobs fnfalman you might consider at least trying a women's cut bcd to see if your girls are more comfortable. ;) if that all concerns you.

My wife loves(new to her) her SeaQuest LIBRA....bought one here used last spring---She had always(for almost 25 years) used a jacket style but this BI was no problem for her......

In fact, due to me cracking the power inflator on my Zeagle, I used it on the last day of diving @ Dominica last summer---&---I loved it.....

My wife had the Libra, liked it but just wanted something better and ended up with the Wahine, and loves it. She has a very "womanly" build, so if it works for her I'm sure it'll do the job for most anyone with those concerns.

She also tried the Zeagle Zena and loved it, but we got the Wahine like $300 cheaper and she didn't think either one was quantifiably better than the other.

My wife has the Mares Kaila and she loves it. Zipper pockets for storage, lot of d-rings, int. weight system with additional trim weight pockets.
