We are going to kauai hawaii april 1. We are staying 2 miles from the laui airport on the south east side. Has anyone been there and can you give us some good dive ops to use. Is there any shore diving there also. Any info, or experience that you can share would be great. Also any must dive places too.
thanks
Lynne

You'll be well set up! Lihue is in the SW of the Island and most of the diving originates just east of there [15-30 minutes, driving SLOW....]

Most of the boat dives go out of Port Arthur, which is South Central.

I REALLY like the shore diving at Koloa Landing, which is also South Central

SeaSport Divers are located near Koloa Landing and also in Kapaa

I did almost all of my diving with Sacred Seas - They do shore diving, mostly at Kaloa Landing and at Tunnels
Perhaps on one of your driving days, you may want to consider the 1 hour + drive to the N side - Tunnels and Hanalei town are exquisite!

Larry you mentioned the shore diving there at koloa, do you need to have a DM with you? We have been to Bonaire where most of it is shore diving and you usually just go it yourself, but the diving there is very simple.
thanks Lynne
