Looking for dive advice for NW Costa Rica

Starting to plan for a November 2009 trip to Costa Rica. Looking to spend a day or two at Mt. Arenal and spending the rest of the time (another 12 days or so) on the coast diving and hanging out (reading a good book). Not really interested in a big resort. Looking for good diving, good dive op., clean room (I tend to stay at smaller, cheaper places) in a small town (walkable), that has good food and internet access is a plus (to keep semi-connected to work).

I know this is vauge, but just looking for ideas.
