Looking to get certified in the Dallas area. Three dads ages 45-46 and three son's ages 15-16 so hoping to work a package price. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What would you suggest and why if not PADI

I would suggest finding the best course in the area. If it turns out that course is through PADI, take it. If it turns out it's through another agency, take it.

I can't think of a reason to look for a "PADI" course rather than for the best course available.
The "Dallas area" is a pretty big area. If you would narrow your search a little it would help.
Not many shops are making lake runs right now. I know the shop that I work for, Adventure Scuba in Plano, is going to Balmorhea at the end of the month.

We live in Frisco, TX
Welcome to the board. I have no direct info. on this shop, but it's in Frisco and is PADI. Scuba Frisco Sports | Scuba Diving Lessons, Gear, Equipment, Service, Travel and Resources | Frisco and Dallas
We go to Balmorhea for the check out dives. We do the confined water in our own pool.
