Ginnie Springs near Gainesville is probably the best...Blue Springs in Orange City is also nice

Depending on the height of the river, the campsites may still be uder water. Make sure you give them a call.

Also some of the state parks may be cheaper to camp at.

Wendy once bubbled...

Ginnie was kinda flooded this past Saturday. Little Devil and the Eye were still open, though. They had the river blocked off. Not to mention the enourmous amount of mosquitos and drunk spring breakers. I was having trouble determining which was more annoying.

i would bet the most annoying were inner tube floaters using "divers only" marked entrances to the water...

also... it will take me a while to erase the mental picture of all those people mooning me (ie floating in their inner tubes 10 feet above me :-)

Once again - Thanks all for your info.

We chose Ginnie Springs and had a great time. We showed up Sunday afternoon as the weekend crowd was leaving.

We found a choice camping spot on the river, had the entire spring to ourselves Sunday night (my first night dive!) and Monday there was plenty of space.

Some of the camp sites were wet but the bugs were minimal, the facilities were clean (very important to the wife) and well kept.

I highly recommend the site to anyone.

Alan
