Hopefully this is the right place!
I am a diver who is rescue certified and gue - fundies (Tech), me and my buddy are looking to forward our journey this year (They are rescue - Gue fundies (Rec)
The obvious choice might seem like GUE and I'd love too, but the worlds going to **** and money is tighter then ever, GUE not being the cheapest sadly it's about time we part ways (Several hundred to over a thousand more per course will add up, let alone in the long run)
We are unsure exactly what org we want to go with, and in the end instructor matters the most, but to try and help thin things down:
-The org needs to carry enough weight, it will provide no issues but in special circumstances
-The org must not require us to go through another fundies, it's fine if they just want to make sure our fundies passes are solid (If it forces you too go through another fundies if you just got the rec rating, but not the tech, this is fine, we can get his pass upgraded)
-The org needs to be price competitive in the space, I know tech certs are not cheap, but 2500 for cave 1 is a lot (Yes, I know cave 1 may permit more things), this needs to stay the same down the line too (So cave 2 or their naming of it, full cave, etc needs to still be priced competitively)
-Ideally it allows cross overs to other orgs, this isn't a must, just a nice to have.
-It will require no major equipment revamps, our kit is DIR, changing some bungee on a light is fine for example.
That is all I can come up with, as for the instructor.
-Must teach in Europe, ideally does the cave in France (Mexico would add more cost)
That is all, really.
Based on these things, does anyone have any good instructor(s) they can recommend and under what org they fall/why? ^^
Thank you so much in advance
